Privacy policy
Short version: we track pages, not people. No student or school identity is collected, ever.
What we collect
Anonymous session data: a random session id, the page you viewed, and whether you clicked an outbound product link. This tells us which themes are useful.
If you save a shopping list, we store the list itself, the budget band you chose, and the age attestation you gave. We do not require an account to save a list.
Server logs: standard request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamp) retained for security and debugging.
What we never collect
Student names, initials, photos, rosters, or classroom assignments.
School name, district, teacher names, or grade rosters.
Any data from a schedule photo beyond the themes it contains. The photo is parsed and discarded; the parsed list is what persists if you save it.
Consent
Identifiable analytics and any list save require a consent record. The gate is checked server-side at the write path — a checkbox in the browser alone is not enough.
If you decline, the gate rejects the write. Nothing is stored and no partial record is kept.
Affiliate links
Outbound product links are Amazon Associates links. Amazon may set its own cookies after you leave this site; that is governed by Amazon's privacy notice, not ours.
We do not receive your name, address, or payment details from Amazon — only an aggregated report of qualifying purchases.
Prices and availability
Prices come from a cache refreshed on a schedule. A price is displayed only when the cached value is under 24 hours old. When it is stale, the value is omitted rather than estimated.
This is a compliance requirement, not a display preference: we would rather show no price than a wrong one.
Your choices
Decline analytics and the site still works. Every page is server-rendered and readable without JavaScript.
Ask us to delete a saved list by emailing hello@spiritweek.example with the share code. We delete the list and its consent record together.
